Commissioned by the Education Bureau, the Courses on Physical and Mental Health for Teachers were delivered in the 2023/24 school year. Designed to promote teacher well-being and enhance work capacity, the programme offered a variety of targeted workshops. Participants could pursue certification through the Pastel Nagomi Art Associate Instructor Course, accredited by the Japan Pastel Hope Art Association, using art creation to foster relaxation and emotional balance. Expressive arts therapy workshops provided a safe space for self-exploration and personal growth, addressing issues such as stress, anxiety, and grief through creative expression. Yoga workshops emphasised stress management, resilience, and mindfulness practices to support both physical and mental well-being. An additional online yoga course offered techniques such as breathing exercises and posture awareness to help participants integrate wellness practices into daily life. The programme holistically supported teachers’ emotional, mental, and physical health.
