Dr HO Chun Sing Maxwell
Research Fellow, Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change
Maxwell is an Assistant Professor of the Department of Education Policy and Leadership, and Research Fellow of The Joseph Lau Luen Hung Charitable Trust Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change of The Education University of Hong Kong. Maxwell commenced his teaching career in secondary business education after receiving his Bachelor of Education (Business Studies) degree at the Education University of Hong Kong (First class honours) in 2008. He further earned a Master of Arts in the Chinese University of Hong Kong and his doctorate from The Education University of Hong Kong.
Maxwell’s research interests include teacher entrepreneurialism and school leadership education. He has conducted school-based middle leadership and entrepreneurial teachers training programmes in local schools since 2019. He is keenly interested in business and financial education and launched An Adaptive Blended Learning Platform for Business Teachers and Students to Work as a Learning Community, a QEF-funded project to promote adaptive blended learning in 2019. The programme has produced 208 videos covering 24 topics of the BAFS curriculum, with 26 schools benefited from the project.

Dr LU Jiafang
Associate Director, Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change
Dr LU Jiafang received her doctoral degree in Applied Psychology from Institute of Psychology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her early research focused on the work-family conflict experienced by dual-career couples and its impact on work motivation. Later she expanded her research interests to study leadership development, school leadership teams, and innovation in educational settings. In both areas of research, cooperative goal interdependence theory and role enrichment perspective have provided overarching themes for her work. Her research findings have been published in respected journals such as School Effectiveness and School Improvement, Journal of Management Development, Journal of Vocational Behavior, and Journal of Occupational Health Psychology. In addition to her research contributions, she serves as a consulting editor for International Journal of Stress Management and Asia Pacific Journal of Management. Dr LU Jiafang also produces documentary videos about schools and their members to showcase the good work that is happening in education.
Dr LU Jiafang is enthusiastic about translating her research into practical leadership development applications. Her expertise has provided constructive insights and guidance for fostering effective teamwork and cultivating innovative practices within educational institutions. Throughout her more than 10 years of dedicated training and consultancy efforts, Dr Lu Jiafang has forged solid partnerships with schools and educational institutions in Hong Kong and beyond.

Dr Darren BRYANT
Associate Director, Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change
Darren Bryant has worked in the Asia Pacific Centre for Leadership and Change (APCLC) since 2010 and the Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL) since 2012. During this period, he has served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Educational Administration — the oldest journal in its field and has led innovative undergraduate and postgraduate programmes including the MA in International Educational Leadership and Change, a fully online degree programme. Currently, he is Associate Director of the APCLC.
In 2011, Darren completed his PhD at The University of Hong Kong following 12 years as a history and social sciences teacher in a through-train primary-secondary school. This work included leadership roles as department head and curriculum coordinator. As a result of such experiences, Darren's research has included foci on middle leadership and leader development.

Mr Martin LAM
Martin is currently a lecturer in the Department of Education Policy and Leadership (EPL) at the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). He received his Bachelor's Degree (BEd in Business Studies) from The Education University of Hong Kong and his Master's Degree (MEd in Child and Adolescent Development) from Hong Kong Baptist University. He taught Business-related subjects, Biblical Knowledge and Life Education in secondary school for over 10 years before joining EdUHK.
As the Subject Coordinator, KLA Coordinator and Career and Guidance Coordinator, Martin has extensive experience facilitating students’ development and broadening their exposure beyond the classroom with positive values. He was invited to different teachers’ sharing on topics like business education and value education. He was awarded twice in the Teacher Award for Business, and Financial Education (2017 & 2019), organised by the EDB, HKABE, IFEC and HKEdCity, in recognition of his school-based curriculum development and leadership.
